Go to https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral chose your MODEL and the newest firmware version available.

Enter your servers SERIAL NUMBER and download the server image & BMC update (both are .tar files).

Open the BMC web interface and shut down the server.

BMC server upgrade

Go to Server Configuration > Firmware.

Upload the bmc .tar file from at the bottom of the page.

Note: you cant upload it if you have already 2 different BMC images.

Press activate and after it finishes if the BMC server doesn't reboot automatically reboot it yourself under Server Control > reboot BMC.

When the BMC server finished the reboot reconnect to the web interface and see the changes were made.

Server upgrade

Go again to Server Configuration > Firmware and this time upload the server image.

Activate the image when it's uploaded and wait until it finishes and the server will turn on itself.
