Criteria for a request

The CBA team is happy to accept suggestions for new features, especially from addon/mission developers who intend to use that feature. However, CBA has a specific goal in mind, so it will only consider requests if the new functionality is:

• Sufficiently generic to be useful to a significant proportion of developers.
• Not be mod-specific (ie not features that are only useable in a given mod/addon)
• Low-level. That is, something appropriate for a framework, rather than a finished product.
• Sufficiently different to existing CBA systems to make them worthwhile additions, though suggestions that expand CBA functionality are welcome.
• Not in the BIS function library or modules since we will not replicate anything already available in the standard game.
• Not directly replicating the functionality of any other community-made addon (however, if appropriate for inclusion in CBA, we can ask the maker of an addon if we can distribute it in a modified state as a part of CBA).
