CADMAS‐SURF 3D2F - CADMAS-SURF/Multiscale-and-Multiphysics-Integrated-Simulator-for-Tsunami GitHub Wiki
CADMAS-SURF/3D2F is a software that can replace conventional model experiments of 2D wave-making channels in cross section, and was developed for application to wave-resistant design of marine facilities, allowing full consideration of the effects of free surface and breaking waves. With CADMAS-SURF/3D2F, water levels, velocities, accelerations, and pressures are calculated. Applications to various wave phenomena such as wave run-up, wave deformation due to reefs, wave propagation on uniform slopes with wave breaking, wave forces and wave overtopping on structures such as caissons, and reflection coefficient are being attempted.
- Analysis of complex flows characterized by free surfaces that behave as multivalued functions
- The Governing equations are the three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes (Reynolds) equations and continuity equation
- Volume of Fluid (VOF) method is utilized for modeling the free surface
- To enhance the accuracy of shape approximation using a porous model
- The framework permits the placement of structures and boundary conditions at arbitrary locations within each cell
- For wave generation, the model incorporates two approaches: a wave-making boundary and a wave-making source
- Six types of wave functions, including Stokes waves, are employed to calculate flow velocity and water levels
- To minimize reflections, the model adopts Sommerfeld's radiation boundary and an energy dissipation zone
- The TimerDoor method is used for handling bubbles and droplets
