MOTOR SIZING
Mass of body to hold (m) = 0.2 Kg
Radius(r) = 0.075m
Acceleration due to gravity(g) = 9.8 m/s^2
μ = 0.45
F = m * g
F = 0.2 * 9.8
F = 1.96 N
Now considering friction
f = mg * μ
f = 1.96 * 0.45
f =0.882 N
Now Torque : T = f * (D/2)
T = 0.882 * (0.075/2)
T = 0.033 Kg-m
T = 0.033* (100/9.8)
T = 0.3367 Kg-cm
Considering Factor Of safety i.e. FOS = 1.3
Final Torque = T * FOS
Final Torque = 0.3366 * 1.3
∴ Final Torque = 0.43 Kg-cm @ 12V
∴ By comparing with table of specification for 0.241 Kg-cm Rated Torque , We need Stepper Motor.
