MOTOR SIZING
Mass of body to hold (m) = 0.05 Kg
Radius(r) = 0.04m
Acceleration due to gravity(g) = 9.8 m/s^2
μ = 0.25
F = m * g
F = 0.05 * 9.8
F = 0.49 N
Now Torque : T = f * r
T = 0.49 * 0.4
T = 0.196 Kg-cm
Considering Factor Of safety i.e. FOS = 1.5
Final Torque = T * FOS
Final Torque = 0.196 * 1.5
∴ Final Torque = 0.294 Kg-cm @ 12V
∴ By comparing with table of specification for 0.29 Kg-cm Rated Torque , We need servo motor of specification Tower pro MG90s Operating voltage-4.8-6.6 stall current-700 mA Number of MG90s servo required =2 servo
DC motor Mass of the body=550=0.55 kg radious =15 cm = 0.15m Acceleration due to gravity=9.8 μ=0.85 F=mg μ =0.559.80.85 F=4.5 Torque=T= FD/2n 4.50.3/20.9 =0.75 kg-cm considering Factor saftey=1.5 Final torque=Tfos Final Torque =0.751.5 = 1.125
