MOTOR SIZING :
Mass of body to hold (m) = 0.39 Kg
Radius(r) = 0.125m
Acceleration due to gravity(g) = 9.8 m/s^2
F = m * g
F = 0.39 * 9.8
F = 3.82 N
Now Torque : T = f * (D/2)
T = 3.82 * (0.25/2)
T = 0.47 Nm T = 0.47* (100/9.8)
T = 4.79 Kg-cm
Considering Factor Of safety i.e. FOS = 1.5
Final Torque = T * FOS
Final Torque = 4.79 * 1.5
∴ Final Torque = 7.185 Kg-cm @ 12V
∴ By comparing with table of specification for 7.1Kg-cm Rated Torque , We need Stepper Motor.
