Make sure to install the following services onto mgmt1 for remote mangagement:

  • Remote Server Administration Tools
  • AD DS and AD LDS Tools
  • DHCP Server Tools
  • DNS Server Tools
  • File Services Tools

Adding DC1, DC2, DFS1, and DFS2

  1. On mgmt1 open up Server Manager

  2. Then click on Manage then Add Servers

  1. If you are in the active directory section, enter the hostname of the host your are adding and click Find Now but if you are in the DNS section you must enter the IP address

Repeat this until you have added all of the servers that you will be managing
