This datapack adds in physical gravestones to minecraft. When a player dies all their items are placed into the gravestone.

Retrieving Items

Any grave can be opened by any player. Non-consentually looting another player's grave is griefing.

  • Retrieve your items and/or XP dropped on death from your grave by right-clicking it with an empty hand.

  • Hold crouch when you right-click to make it so only you can pick up the items.

  • IMPORTANT Your items are dropped onto the ground, not placed into your inventory. Please make sure there is a block below the grave or suffer the consequences

Grave Spawning:

  • Graves sink and water and will spawn at the bottom of a pool of water

  • Graves float in lava and will spawn 1 block above the lava

  • If you die to the void your items will be placed in a grave on a spawned block at y=1 in the dimension you died in

  • If you die while in the air/ non on solid ground your grave will spawn on the first solid block below where you died
