What is SNMP?

Simple Network Management Protocol

• Allows for machines on a network to share information with other machines on the same network.
• Clearly pretty lackluster in regards to security. Really easy to view the 'password' if you intercept packets.
• A server (nmon01-felix) asks for information from the other machines.
• Not recommended if security is important.
