Blog and News

Posts live in one place but are split into two sections: Blog and News.

Find your posts

• The sidebar has Blog and News with the number of posts in each.
• The posts list has tabs: All posts | Blog | News. Searching, filters and pages stay inside the tab you chose.
• New Content › Posts from the News tab starts a news post.

What a post has

Field	What it does
Title, URL slug	The headline and the web address.
Section	Blog or News.
Categories	Pick from your categories (only those of the post's section). Type to search.
Tags	Pick tags already in use, or type a new one and press Enter or a comma.
Summary	A short introduction for lists and for Google.
Featured image	The post's main image (from Media) with a short description. Used on lists, the article and when the post is shared.
Content	The text. See Writing and Editing.
Author	Name, author page address and website. No user account needed.
Sponsored	For paid or partner posts (see below).
Legacy ID / Legacy URL	Filled by imports so links from an old website keep working.

Categories

Manage them under Content › Categories: name, URL slug, section (Blog or News), description and SEO fields.

Sponsored posts

Tick Sponsored for paid or partner content, and optionally fill Sponsored by and its link. The website then:

• shows a Sponsored label and "Sponsored by …",
• marks every link to another website as sponsored (Google requires this for paid links),
• keeps the post out of "latest posts" blocks, while it stays in the normal blog list.
