Make Sure You Have The Required Dependencies
If you're using a plugin that requires Chroma, you also need Chroma's dependencies!

General Fix Checklist
Here's a checklist you should knock out before asking most troubleshooting related questions in the Discord.

Change Your Gamemode.
- It doesn't matter what you change it to. Just change it.
- Play a song. Quit, die, or beat it, doesn't matter.
- Then change your gamemode back, and see if it's still broken.

Ensure you have the correct versions of Chroma/ChromaToggle.
- This includes properly reinstalling them.
- Make sure you install everything inside the zips to their proper place.
- The recommended way is to simply unzip the entire zip in the Beat Saber installation folder
- Chroma/ChromaToggle's zips will only override Chroma/ChromaToggle's stuff.
- You don't need to worry about it messing with other files.

Several plugins have known compatibility issues.
- A very old version of CustomSabers tends to break everything.
- If you're using CustomSabers, make sure you've updated it.
- DarthMaul plugin breaks ChromaToggle when enabled.
- But ChromaToggle has darth maul features anyway, so get rid of it.

Reset your Chroma preferences to default.
- You can do this by finding the
Userdata/Chroma/Preferencesfolder, and removing or renaming all the .ini files inside it.

If all the above fails, you may wish to do a systemic check on your plugins to find an incompatibility. Remove all plugins except the core plugins (song loader, etc), Chroma, ChromaToggle (if desired), and all relevant dependencies. If the plugin now works properly, you know you have a conflict. Now start adding the plugins back in (either one by one or in bundles, just make sure you keep track) and rebooting the game until it breaks again, and you'll find your conflicting plugin.
