Overview

The Configuration Tab is where you configure modifiers which affect your character and enemies for calculation purposes.

The Configuration tab is split into several sections for ease of use, with modifiers grouped based on conditions and whether they apply to the player or enemies.

General

The General section is for modifying basic character and calculation settings. This includes:

  • Resistance Penalty
    • Select which campaign progression resistance penalty to apply:
      • None, Act 5 (-30%), Act 10 (-60%)
  • Bandit Choice
    • Select which Bandit quest bonus to apply:
      • Kill all, Help Oak, Help Kraityn, Help Allira)
  • Major God
    • Select the Major God on the Pantheon
  • Minor God
    • Select the Minor God on the Pantheon
  • Ailment calculation mode
    • Controls how the base damage for applying Ailments is calculated
      • Average: damage is based on the average application, including both crits and non-crits
      • Crits Only: damage is based solely on Ailments inflicted with crits
  • EHP Calc Unlucky
    • Sets the EHP Calculator to pretend its unlucky, and reduce the effects of random events such as Block/Spell Block Chance, Dodge/Spell Dodge Chance, Spell Suppression Chance, Avoidance Chance
  • Exerted/Boosted Calc Mode
    • Controls how exerted attacks from Warcries are calculated:
      • Average: Averages out Warcry usage with cast time, attack speed, and warcry cooldown
      • Max Hit: Shows maximum hit for lining up all warcries
  • Ignore Jewel Limits
    • Ignores the limits on certain jewels

In Combat

The In Combat section is for selecting and configuring combat buffs that are active on the character. This includes:

  • Power Charges
  • Frenzy Charges
  • Endurance Charges
  • Onslaught
  • Arcane Surge
  • Unholy Might
  • Chaotic Might
  • Fortification
  • Tailwind
  • Adrenaline
  • Mana Burn
  • Consecrated Ground

Other modifiers may appear in this section based on the skills/equipment present in the build.

Skill Options

The Skill options section shows configurable variables relating to specific skills, these options only show when the relevant skill is equipped to the character. This includes things such as:

  • Warcry Power
  • Banner Valour
  • Stages of aura effect

Map Modifiers and Player Debuffs

The Map Modifiers and Player Debuffs section is for configuring the map modifiers and any debuffs on the player for calculation purposes. This includes:

  • Increased effect of map mods %
  • Map tier
  • Selecting Map modifiers
  • PvP Damage Scaling
  • Curses affecting the player

Effective DPS

The Effective DPS section is for configuring debuffs on an enemy for calculation purposes. This includes whether the enemy is:

  • Moving
  • On Full Life
  • Blinded
  • Taunted
  • Burning
  • Ignited
  • Chilled
  • Frozen
  • Shocked
  • Intimidated
  • Crushed
  • Unnerved
  • Covered in Ash
  • Covered in Frost

Enemy Stats

The Enemy Stats section is for configuring the enemy used for calculating damage from and damage to the player. This section contains a multitude of settings such as:

  • Enemy Level
  • Is the enemy a boss (Presets)
  • Delirious effect
  • Enemy Physical Damage Reduction
  • Enemy Resistances (Lightning, Cold, Fire, Chaos)
  • Enemy Max Resistances
  • Enemy Block Chance
  • Enemy Base Defenses
  • Boss Skill Presets (For incoming damage calculations)
  • Enemy Attack/Cast Time
  • Enemy Critical Strike Chance and Multiplier
  • Enemy Skill Physical Damage
  • Enemy Skill Physical Overwhelm
  • Enemy Skill Damage (Lightning, Cold, Fire, Chaos)
  • Enemy Skill Resistance Penetration (Lightning, Cold, Fire, Chaos)

Custom Modifiers

This section allows the user to input custom modifiers to be used in calculations. This is particularly useful for calculating changes in upcoming patches which have not yet been developed for Path of Building.

Custom Modifiers must follow regular modifier formats as seen on skills, passives, and items.

Any Custom Modifier which is successfully parsed (understood by Path of Building) will be shown in blue, and any mods which are unable to be parsed will be shown in red.
