Branch and pull request workflow

Create a feature branch from the current main branch, make a focused change, and open a pull request targeting main:

git checkout main
git pull --ff-only origin main
git checkout -b feature/<short-description>
# make and review changes
git push -u origin feature/<short-description>

Link related issues and describe user-visible behavior, configuration changes, and any deployment or migration steps in the pull request. Keep commits focused and never commit credentials or generated build artifacts.

Repository workflow

For larger features and fixes, follow Harness/AGENTS.md: record the idea, resolve domain questions, write acceptance criteria, implement and verify the change, then reconcile the specification with the implementation.

Keep the README and affected Wiki pages current when a change alters the API, data model, PLC contract, runtime configuration, user-facing behavior, or deployment process. Project documentation is maintained in English; keep code identifiers and protocol literals unchanged.
