  • Test controller and motor with srtn
  • Update wiki with parts pictures and general project info.

  • Prep for roof build -> test rotor, figure out dish location, figure out dish construction logistics

  • Continue to build up documentation for code where possible

3/18/14 - 3/25/14

Hardware

  • Build Feed
  • Test Roof for RF interference once feed is completed (if needed, move to week of 3/25/14)
  • Request for roof access for Friday 3/21 at 3 pm -- Goal: Test for RF interference and verify telescope placement (if needed, move to week of 3/25/14)
  • For placement of dish remember to think about having unblocked trees nearby for calibration, make sure we can drill through roof for cables

Software

  • Continue documenting code
  • Get rotator to work via USB

  • Test Roof for RF interference
  • Verify dish placement
  • Request for room access Tuesday 3/25/14 2 pm
  • Decide which mount style we will use

  • Put all constants into a constants file, all files should reference constants file

  • Make modifications to roof
  • fire it up

Software

  • Improve documentation
    • Clean srt.cat file, document, make examples
    • Improve help file
    • Add comments to code, where possible
  • Continue testing on various OS/Architectures, make a table detailing which work, and what they need to work
  • Centralized config file?
  • Assess and start fixing bugs (error handling also) for known issues

  • Troubleshoot, make fixes/mods as needed
  • Full test of telescope capabilities -- make sure full az/el movement is possible, make sure signal is strong enough for observing

Software

  • Continue with bug fixes
  • Continue improving documentation
  • If time, start looking into optional issues (enhancements)
  • Create a makefile/installer for srtn so all package dependencies and whatnot are taken care of
  • Calibration? (dependent on our results from observing?)
