Using StrongDMM Layer Filtering - Baystation12/Baystation12 GitHub Wiki
StrongDMM v1.x.x has a feature known as Layers Filter accessible in the Options dropdown, which allows you to filter visible mapped atoms by specific paths. This can be useful when mapping or debugging specific types of assets such as wiring, piping, and disposals. Unfortunately, StrongDMM does not currently have a way to save or import a filtering preset, so you'll have to set these manually each time you want to apply the filter.
Additionally, StrongDMM 2.x.x, being a from the ground up rewrite, is missing several features that 1.x.x contains, including Layer Filters, so if you want to use this feature, you'll need to downgrade to 1.x.x. The current latest v1 as of the time of writing can be found here: https://github.com/SpaiR/StrongDMM/releases/tag/v1.9.1.
This page includes some recommended filters to apply when mapping or debugging an issue with a map, such as power not connecting. Each section shows an example of what the filters look like using the Torch medbay as an example. For comparison, here's the same area with no filtering applied except for the removal of the area overlay:
Power/Cables

/turf
- Enable the following subpaths:

/obj/machinery/power
