Sorrow spire is a Nether dungeon. It's a tall tower made from grimstone blocks.

Sorrow spire consists of rooms filled with spire spawners, traps and magical barriers to stop intruders.

Soulfire spewers activate when a player is in their line of fire, and release a jet of soulfire, after which they go on a long cooldown. They can be covered with blocks or triggered from a safe distance.

Runic grimstone is an unbreakable block that transfers a signal when activated with an active spire spawner, grimace trap or magmanum block. Combined with the spawner or grimace trap, it emits a signal that will go away only after all mobs are killed.

Activated runic grimstone interacts with barrier projectors that creates indestructible giant chains to block the exists. To leave the room or progress further, deactivate the runic grimstone, by killing all mobs or breaking all magmanum blocks that power the lines.

Mobs

Grimace

Grimaces are small grimstone heads with a chain "neck". They are bound to blocks or grievers and attack by spewing soulfire.

Griever

Grievers are tall slim mobs that have grimaces attach to them. Grievers avoid the player and do not attack directly, but grimaces do. Griever spawns with 2 grimaces on it, and every 20 seconds it attempts to summon a new one, with max limit of 3. If the griever is killed, all grimaces attached to it will also die.

Weeper

Weeper is a crying golem that shoots homing obsidian tears.

Mournstone

Mournstones are floating rocks with sharp shain fragments that orbit them. Mournstones are tanky, and attack in melee by spinning their sharp chain shards to maul the player. If a target is too far away, mournstone will launch a hook to catch the mob and reel it closer.

Crystal tear is an item at the top of the spire. It can be used to turn unbreakable trap blocks and charged grimstone into breakable grimstone blocks. Using the crystal tear, player should open the doors to the basement chamber with the Sorrowsealed boss.
