To cast spells, you will need mana, a image spell and a image spellcasting focus.
Every player has mana. It's capped at 50 by default and regenerates at a rate of 1 mana every 50 seconds (0.02 mana per second). Mana capacity and regeneration can be boosted by accessories (ametrine pendant, abyssquartz capacitator), armor (ragged robes and ametrine set) and armor enchants (arcane conductivity and arcane capacity).

Spells define the magic you cast. Different spells do different things.

Casting focuses determine how you cast a spell. They have parameters like spell power, spell cooldown and mana consumption. Different focuses have different stats, and better staves and wands will allow you to cast stronger spells with less cooldown and mana cost.

How to use spells:

First, find a spell or identify one at the arcanist's table, then craft a casting focus (wands, staffs) and put the spell in the off-hand, and the casting focus in your main hand. You can cast spells by right-clicking with the casting focus.

Alternatively, you can craft a image Spell book, which will allow you to cast spells from it anywhere in the inventory, and free the off-hand, as well as allow easier spell switching.

Spells and casting focuses have different Tiers:

  • image Basic
  • image Advanced
  • image Expert
  • image Fabled
  • image Primeval

To cast an Advanced spell, you'll need Advanced tier spellcasting focus or higher.
