In the terminal, type nmtui (it's a networking config GUI)

IPv4 config + Domain Search

Apply Changes:

sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager

or

nmcli connection reload

This allows the connection to restart if you change the ip address and it doesn't show the change after ip addr command
