DORA is the 4-way DHCP handshake

DHCP operates at the Application Layer 7 (OSI model) & uses layers 2-3 (Data-link & Network)

Letter	Name	Purpose
D	Discover	client(device) broadcasts a message across the local network to find an available DHCP server
O	Offer	The DHCP server responds with an available IP address and lease duration.
R	Request	The client responds to confirm and accept the offered IP address
A	Acknowledge	The DHCP server finalizes the allocation and sends confirmation, allowing the client to use the IP address on the network
