ValerianWeb Code Marking System Registration - BNU-CO453/ConsoleApps15 GitHub Wiki

http://www.valerianweb.com/bnucms/

Valerianweb.com We have produced a way of marking CO453 which is web based and has the advantage that you will be able to see all your marks for each of the Apps. There are over 40 criteria for each App, and if they have not been marked then they will be listed in grey with no tutor’s initials next to the mark.

When they have been marked there will be tutor’s initial next to each mark and explanatory comments if they are needed to explain why you did not receive the maximum available mark.

Any criteria with zero marks will be highlighted in red, and you may be able to correct the issue and gain extra marks if the correction is completed in a timely manner and you notify your tutor.

Please got to the web site listed below and register. YOU MUST REGISTER USING YOUR UNIVERSITY EMAIL ADDRESS.

You will not receive an email, but you must confirm your registration by clicking on the link provided.

The system allows you to opt out of other students seeing your marks on the Results page. The “Results” page will display all the marks for every student for every app so that students can see how they are doing relative to others.

You can opt to remove your name and replace it with a CoderTag of your choosing. This could be your GitHub ID for example if you wish or your Xbox gamer tag.

Alternatively, if you do not want your results to be displayed at all please let me know and your results will not be in the list of results and only tutors will see your results.

If you are happy for others to see your results you need to do nothing, otherwise please email [email protected] if you want to opt out of your results being on display.

We hope this new system will provide you with much more in the way of individual feedback on your development of these applications. This is similar to a work situation where you would routinely be receiving feedback from other team members from issues posted on GitHub or from code walkthroughs.
