Style Variables and Item Variables, more commonly referred to as Stylevars and Itemvars, are options in the BEE2.4 which can be used to configure an item or style. They are listed in the Style/Item Properties window, with stylevars in the Styles tab and itemvars in the Items tab. While stylevars only exist as binary check-boxes, itemvars can be several different types of options, such as sliders.

Stylevars

Stylevar Description
Multiverse Cave Adds workshop Cave Johnson lines at the start of the map when published. Unlike normal voicelines, Multiverse Cave lines will play on map start, instead of playing when you enter the actual chamber.
Prevent Portal Bump (fizzler) Prevents placing portals across fizzler edges, or in tight spaces near fizzlers.
Suppress Mid-Chamber Dialogue Disables mid-chamber voicelines.
Unlock Default Items Allows you to delete, copy, and place the entry door, exit door, and large observation room. This should be used with caution as it can have weird results. Useful if the original doors were duplicated or deleted accidentally for whatever reason.
Allow Adding Goo Mist Adds mist particles above goo in Overgrown and Portal 1. Although this looks good, it can increase the entity count with large amounts of goo.
Light Reversible Excursion Funnels Funnels emit a small amount of light, which can cause problems with multiple reversible funnels near each other. Disable this to remove those lights. Non-reversible funnels do not have this issue.
Enable Shape Framing When more than 10 Signage connections are used, the signs will repeat. Enable this to add colored frames around repeated signages.
Restart When Reaching Exit When enabled, the map will restart when exiting the chamber, like in the default PeTI. Disable this to examine the exit corridor and elevator.

Open Enrichment Sphere The upper parts of the enrichment sphere are missing, showing the test shaft and the sphere above. This option greatly increases compile times, however. 1980s
Flickering Overgrown Funnel When enabled, the Overgrown Excursion Funnel will randomly shut off for a brief period of time. Overgrown
Use P1 Portal Gun Uses the Portal 1 portal gun model and sounds in SP. It is cleaner and has different animations. Portal 1
