Ongoing Tasks - B-Helgeson/GroceriesToGourmet GitHub Wiki

Front-End:

Ensure all pages meet the wireframe functionality:

  • All of the various “parts” exist on each page… buttons, images, sections, etc
  • Use Spectre.CSS flexbox/grid to get each of the page’s divs/sections in the appropriate places

Fully polish each page to a good-looking project/portfolio item:

  • Make each page mobile-responsive
  • Get the design fully fleshed out and looking great on every page

Back-End:

Troubleshoot existing issues:

  • Get jQuery modal to work when the server is running, from public/assets/js
  • Get API calls to work when the server is running, this is crucial for saving API results!
  • May need to move API functionality from public/assets/js file to the API-routes file, which is fine as long as it works!

Get User Authentication working, including the following functionality:

  • “CreateUser” sends user data to the DB
  • “LogIn” pulls user data from the DB to the front-end
  • As a bare minimum, loading the user’s name on the page is a good proof that this works.
  • “EditUser” can be used to modify the user data, including updating the user info.

Create the various DB calls…

  • “SaveRecipe” should save important DB criteria from the API Call

  • To do this, the API results need to fetched from a local variable, then sent to the DB.

  • The “SavedRecipe” must be associated to a UserID in order of the user to log in and look up their saved recipes.

  • “Get-Ingredients” should take a list of recipes, and then sum up their various ingredients.

  • The ingredients need to fetched from a variable, and then sent to the DB as a new “ShoppingList”

  • CRUD needs to exist for the “ShoppingList” table, so that the user can add and remove items belonging to their list.

  • The “GroceryList” needs to be associated to a userID in order for a user to log in and get their previously saved ShoppingList.

Git the fully-functional server hosted online. Push the code to Heroku (or another DB site), and prove out that everything works the same when the server is hosted online.
