🔎About the feature
Welcome to the lab! This is the place to monitor your magnets but also mess around with them and experiment. You will find two sub-features here: a Tesla meter and a signal generator. The Tesla meter will give you a rough estimate of your implant "strength". The signal generator is the main tool to use with your Lodestones. It can produce many different signals that you will be able to feel.
🕹Tutorial
Measuring your magnet
-
In the signal generator you will see a fluctuating number. This is your device's magnetic sensor detecting the earth's magnetic field as well as any ambient interferences. Don't worry they are pretty low and won't even come close to your magnet's strength.
-
We now need to locate the sensor. It is more likely somewhere on the back of your Android device. Run your magnet along the surface and look out for a rise in the Tesla reading. Pinpoint the sensor's location.
-
Rotate your magnet against it until you're confident that you've reached a max value.
ℹ️ The slider below the Tesla meter controls a smoothing filter (rolling average). The higher it is the more steady the values become but they will also take longer to react to change. Only use it if you know what you're doing.
Using the signal generator
-
Make sure to use your Lodestone. Without the Lodestone you will just hear the signal as audio. Also make sure to have your device's volume up all the way.
-
The top slider controls the global volume. Turn it up all the way.
-
The toggles below select between a type of wave or modulation. Start with the sine wave.
-
Tap the big 0 to enter a frequency for the sine wave. Start with 100Hz.
-
The slider below is the sine wave's volume. Turn it up and feel the field!
-
Each signal or modulation can be combined with each other. The modulations won't do anything if there's not a signal to modulate. Head over to the Amplitude Modulation, the last toggle.
-
Set the Amplitude Modulation to 1Hz. Do you feel it pulsing?
ℹ️ Have you tried sticking your finger in your ear while it's stimulated? Yes. Meat headphones!
