Faceted search results

Kibana offers a nice way to apply faceted search. In the following screenshot it is visible how different filters can be applied.

Once the desired filters are applied, the results are nicely displayed. In this specific example, only two documents are found.

This is a extension to the advanced search described earlier as it gives more specific results as the requirements are applied more strictly. For example, as we mentioned in page 2, our advanced search result for the query:
"title: MOSCOW body:SOVIET dateline: April 8",
would also return articles that contained a title about moscow and including soviet from the data April 3 after it ran out of articles that met all three requirements. As we see with our faceted search, only 2 articles are returned, but both meet all three requirements. So when you are only interested in a very specific query, the faceted search would return better results. Whereas, if you are interested in just all articles with the title moscow about the soviet in april, then the advanced search would perform adequately as well.
