Download and Boot

• Download https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbian (as of today the latest is 2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie.zip)
• unzip 2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie.zip -> creates 2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie.img
• sudo dd if=2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 bs=8M oflag=sync approx 13 min
• Boot the Pi, connect to the Internet, if later remotely you need to find the IP then run this sudo arp-scan --localnet

Update & Dependencies

• sudo apt-get update
• sudo apt-get install libpython2.7-dev
• sudo pip install http_parser
• sudo apt-get install libfontconfig1-dev
• sudo apt-get install libfribidi-dev
• sudo apt-get install libmp3lame-dev
• sudo apt-get install libx264-dev

Build FFmpeg

• sudo su
• cd /usr/src
• git clone https://git.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.git ffmpeg
• cd ffmpeg
• GPU
  • apt-get install libomxil-bellagio-dev
  • ./configure --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree --enable-libx264 --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libfreetype --enable-libfontconfig --enable-libfribidi --enable-omx --enable-omx-rpi
• No GPU
  • ./configure --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree --enable-libx264 --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libfreetype --enable-libfontconfig --enable-libfribidi
• make -j4 approx 30 min
• make install
• exit -> quit earlier sudo su

Install Autonomia Device SDK

• cd ~
• git clone https://github.com/Autonomia/Autonomia-Device-SDK-Python
• cd Autonomia-Device-SDK-Python
• sudo python setup.py install

Backup the SD Card

• Linux
  • lsblk

  mmcblk0     179:0    0  14.9G  0 disk 
  |-mmcblk0p1 179:1    0    63M  0 part
  |-mmcblk0p2 179:2    0  14.9G  0 part 
  

  • sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0 of=2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie-autonomia.img bs=40M status=progress approx 5 min, file size will be 16GB because this is the SD Card size
  • Truncate now, later it will be faster writing 7GB to the SD than 16GB image
    • truncate
  • Compress to save space
    • tar -czf 2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie-autonomia.img.gz 2017-03-02-raspbian-jessie-autonomia.img
