Supplemental Files
The supplemental files page allows the user to upload additional files that may aid in training the AMP tool on materials specific to your collection.
Navigation
Supplemental files can be found in the drop-down under the "Content" section of the navigation.
Once on the page, you have options to create a new file, search pre-existing files, and to view the existing files.
Create New
To create a new file you can find the "Create New File" on the right hand side of the screen.
When clicked you will be brought to a page where you can upload your files.
Once you have uploaded your file(s) you will need to enter additional information identifying your files, such as:
- Supplemental File Name: Enter a name you will use to identify the file within AMP
- Category: Select from a drop-down where you can choose what type of content your supplemental file contains. The options include: Face, Transcript, Vocabulary, Program, and Other.
- Description: Describe the file's contents (optional)
- Unit: Select from a drop-down menu which unit you would like to place the files under
- Collection: Select from a drop-down menu which collection the supplemental files should be used for (optional: If you select collection, the supplemental files will only be used for the specific collection selected; Do not select a collection if you wish for the files to be used for the entire unit.)
- Item: Select from a drop-down menu which item the supplemental files should be used for (optional: If you select an item, the supplemental files will only be used for the specific item selected; Do not select an item if you wish for the files to be used for the entire collection.)
- Content File: Select from a drop-down menu which content file the supplemental files should be used for (optional: If you select a content file, the supplemental files will only be used for that content file selected; Do not select a content file if you wish for the files to be used for the item as a whole.)
Note: Each Supplemental file requires a unit, but if you wish to narrow the scope under which the supplemental items apply, choose the specific collection/item/content file to be specific. If only the Unit is provided, the supplemental files will apply to the entire unit.
Search
To efficiently search for a specific file within the supplemental files, you have the option to use the search feature by clicking the orange button in the upper right-hand corner labeled "Search Files".
You should then see a search window pop-out over the screen.
To narrow your search you may type in any keywords that relate to the supplemental files you are searching for then click the button labeled "Go" to see the results. Once you see the supplemental file you are searching for select the box next to the corresponding file and click the button labeled "Done".
This should take you to a screen where you can choose to view the supplemental file.
