User Login
This is the first page of Quindar application where the user is asked to enter his Google credentials to login to the application. Currently, the user has to login using his/her google account. Our application uses PassportJS for Google authentication. To embed Google authentication into our application, there is a need to create OAuth 2.0 credentials following this link.
User Roles
Following are the different roles and callsigns a user can have:

- Each user logged in to Quantum has a role assigned. By default the role is Observer with a call sign (VIP).
- The first user to login to Quantum has the role Mission Director and call sign 'MD'. The Mission Director has admin role to set or revoke roles for a user.
- All other users who have logged in to Quantum have observer role (VIP) by default with any additional roles to choose(Assigned by Mission Director) from the User Settings menu.
User Settings
- This menu is available in the dropdown when the user name is clicked on the dashboard.
- On click on this settings, a modal is opened which displays all the allowed roles for the user. These roles are assigned by the Mission Director to the user.
- The user can select any role from the available roles and click on Save to switch to new role.
User Administration
- This menu is available in the dropdown when the user name is clicked, if current user has an MD role.
- The first user to log in to Quantum application is a Mission Director (MD).
- The Mission Director has the permissions to assign roles to a any user logged into Quindar.
- There can be more than one Mission Director in the application, but there should be at least one Mission Director at all times.
- On click on this option, a modal is opened which displays a dropdown to select a user and below it are the allowed roles to be assigned for the user.
- The Mission director can assign one or many roles to a user and click Save. These roles are then available for the user to switch.
User List
- This feature is available in Configuration Menu on Dashboard page.
- It lists all the active users using Quindar at the point in time under Users line item.
- The list displays username with their current callsign.
- User needs to log out of Quindar to be removed from the list.
