Bed Classification Updates

Issue Review

Hot Topics

Discuss meeting frequency

  • Josh: suggest reducing frequency or duration, now that we've gotten started.
  • Keith: I think we're ready to move to Monday/Wednesday/Friday, so we'll cancel this Thursday. Any concerns?
  • (No concerns.)

Discuss profiling MeasureReport and Measure

Keith working in modelingForMeasureReport branch, looking at MeasureReport.measure (1..1), and MeasureReport.subject (which can be a Group or Location, etc).

  • Thinking about a reprot having a .subject of Location -- enables search based on location or disance
  • Thinking about Group as an intensional defintion of what the measure itself is reporting
  • Gino: examples would be helpful!
  • Should details like "isolation status: NON-isolted" live in Group.characteristic, or MEasure.group.stratifier, or both?
  • Keith: I don't know yet. Probably good not to repeat information across places. But agree with Gino, we need examples
  • So for CDC, if we look at ICU Beds, and ICU Beds Occupied: is this two measure? Or one measure with numerator of occupied beds, and denominator of total beds?
  • Hans: We could start with one measure per CDC column, and then look at rationalizing them later. Right now I'm looking at minmum requirements from CDC docs, to capture measure attributes.
  • Josh: Yeah, Michael raised a similar point over the weekend re: stratifying by age. Agreed that to start, it might be reasonable to start with unsophisticated 1:1, as Hans/Michael suggests.
  • Keith: Good, let's start with population counts for now

Bed classification

We still need clarity on whether neonatal beds (etc) count as "ICU Beds". Can we get EHRA involved in this project, to help channel questions to CDC?

Hans: I'm working on this.

Other business?

Nothing pressing -- let's wrap.

Action Items

  • TODO(Josh): Create a resources folder at top level of SANER IG
  • Katie wil send updated meeting occurrences - now MWF
  • Hans: Upload FEMA spreadsheet into resource folder
