Vod Rename - Ateozc/RoA-Stream-Tool GitHub Wiki

As a quick fair warning, Im not too certain this works on Mac/IOS/Linux. I run Windows 10. Should work fine on Windows. Vod Rename is a very simple plugin that allows you to rename files (specifically, mp4, flv, and png) within a specified directory, move them into a more manageable layout.

The only things required to use this are: Vod Directory (you must enter this into the Stream Tool) Filled out Stream Tool with Player/Tournament/Round information filled in (must click update after you have things how you want it).

How it works

Using the Vod directory you give it, it will look for all mp4, flv, and png files in that directory. It then will grab those files and rename them based upon the current match information The possibilites are as such:

  • Tournament - Round - P1Tag - Player1 (Characters) Vs. P2Tag - Player2 (Characters)
  • Tournament - Round - Player1 & Player3 Vs. Player2 & Player4
  • Tournament - Round - TeamName Vs. Player2 & Player4
  • Tournament - Round - Player1 & Player3 Vs. TeamName

Once it has the filenames, it will then also create a few new folders at the specified directory. Example:

  • Vod Directory: C:\User\Videos
  • After Rename: C:\User\Videos{TournamentName}{Game}\MatchInfo.mp4

Tournament Name is the one you enter into the Stream Tool. Game is either Rivals of Aether or Rivals Workshop (dependent on your selection in the settings).

Setup

Once you have followed the installation guide for the plugins and installed this plugin, it should be visible in your Stream Tool. The section is called "Vod Rename" After you confirmed this, follow these steps to ensure proper Vod renaming.

I do have a recommendation before you use this:

  1. In OBS, make sure your recording directory is the same as the Vod Directory you intend to use.
  2. In OBS, make sure your screenshot directory is the same as the Vod Directory you intend to use.
  3. In the Vod Directory folder, ensure no other files could cause issues/be renamed. Reminder: This will rename ALL mp4, flv, and png files in that folder (items within other folders are fine).

That said, here the steps to renaming vod files from the Stream Tool.

  1. In the settings section, look for the field "Vod Directory"
  2. Enter your directory where you are saving your vods at. Example: C:\OBS\Recordings
  3. Enter in all your Stream information in the tool (this should be done at the end of a set, when you have already entered all the needed information).
  4. Click the button "Rename Vod Files"
  5. After a short delay, all your files should be moved and renamed.
