Welcome to the (WIP) Immersive Weathering wiki!



Immersive Weathering features a number of new features & mechanics designed to add life and immersion to the world, and provide opportunities for environmental storytelling. Moss will grow in damp places, grass blocks will grow foliage over time, iron blocks can rust depending on the humidity they're exposed to, leaf piles form under trees, etc etc.

Every mechanic is designed to make gameplay with it as convenient as possible, so that means being able to easily revert every change or have complete control over it. You can re-add bark to stripped logs, shear moss off mossy blocks & readd it, and much more. There is barely any upkeep required and none of the weathering actually griefs, so your builds will stay intact even after they've completely weathered.

There's also a handful of features that generate in the world too, like icicle caves & silt patches.
