A STRAP is a Service Template Running a Process. There are two types of straps, static and dynamic.

Static STRAPs

Static straps are published and will not change. They can be cached locally.

Dynamic Straps

Dynamic straps are updated after the new revision has been tested. There are no guarantees that they will work with the rest of a service-oriented architecture, but they will be updated automatically.
