Get iPlayer Automator is primarily intended to be used in the UK to download BBC and ITV content for offline viewing. Both services use geolocation to block users outside of the UK from viewing their content.

If Get iPlayer Automator reports that you are not allowed to download a show DO NOT FILE A BUG! It will be closed without comment. Even if you have a VPS, VPN, HTTP proxy or DNS proxy, you may still be blocked by the BBC or ITV. Neither Get iPlayer Automator nor get_iplayer can do anything to work around this problem. Contact your service and let them know you are unable to access BBC or ITV content.

No support of any kind is provided for proxy or smart DNS problems or configuration setup.

If you are within the UK and are still having issues downloading content please file a bug and make it clear you are within the UK.
