ModMyFactory offers three different options to add mods.
To access them you can click the icon in the toolbar or select File -> Add mods in the menu. For ZIP files and extracted mod folders drag and drop is also supported.

Download mods

You can browse the official mod portal from within ModMyFactory. If you don't have your login credentials stored you will be asked to log in with your Factorio account. Note that it may take a while to load the mod list when first selecting this option.

To download a mod you first have to select the specific release you want to download in the list to the right, then click the Download button.
If you already have a release of a mod installed it will be marked with a green checkmark.

Add mods from files

If you do not want to log in through ModMyFactory you can also download mods manually and supply the app with the downloaded ZIP files. This also works with drag and drop.

ModMyFactory also supports extracted mods. Be sure to select the bottom most folder that contains the mods info.json file when selecting an extracted mod. This also works with drag and drop.

Due to technical limitations you can only select extracted mods one at a time when using the file browser. Drag and drop supports multiple folders at once.
