• Objects- Users and Computers
• OU- AD folders
• Domain Controller - Controls the domain (add, remove, edit users and computers)
• Security Groups - Groups of accounts and computers that have certain access to GPO's or other settings.
• DNS - Domain Name Server. Need DNS to have an AD. 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS Server) *High Level DNS- I own, I operate
• DNS Records: a- Address record

1. CNAME- Canonical Name Record / Alias
2. AAAA- Address Record used to resolve a name to IPv6
3. PTR- Pointer Record used to resolve IPv4 address to a name
4. MX- Mail Exchange used to identify the email servers for a domain.
5. SRV- Service locator used to locate services such a SIP severs, Conference Servers, etc

• DHCP - assigns IP addresses to new entries (computers) in the domain.
