Adding Planets and Rewards - Arsonide/VoxLotus GitHub Wiki

Vox Lotus allows you to easily add new planets or rewards as Digital Extremes adds them to Warframe. I'll do this periodically with new releases, but if you would like to do it yourself (or tweak existing entries) then this page will help you do so. Please note that this subject is slightly advanced.

First of all, all configuration happens in "config.json" which should be in the directory that Vox Lotus is in. If this file is not present, then either redownload the program, or run it which will generate a blank configuration file.

The section of this file that you are interested in is the "Entries" list. I will show some simple examples of entries in this list, and explain what each setting does. Once you know what the settings do, adding new entries to the list is trivial. However, please keep in mind that the configuration file uses standard JSON formatting rules.

  "Entries":
  [
    {
      "EntryType": "Planet",
      "EntryName": "Phobos",
      "EntryPronunciation": "Pho-bose",
      "EntryPrefix": "on",
      "EntryInterest": 1
    },
    {
      "EntryType": "Weapon",
      "EntryName": "Latron Wraith",
      "EntryDisplay": "Latron Wraith Blueprint",
      "EntryInterest": 1
    },
    {
      "EntryType": "Aura",
      "EntryName": "Infested Impedance",
      "EntryPrefix": "an",
      "EntryInterest": 1
    },
    {
      "EntryType": "Helmet",
      "EntryName": "Valkyr Bastet Helmet",
      "EntryPronunciation": "Valkeer Basttet Helmet",
      "EntryInterest": 1
    }
  ]
  • EntryType: What type of entry is this? This determines what tab the entry is placed into, and in some circumstances grants it special treatment - like with planets. There can only be a few values for this that are valid: "Planet", "Resource", "Aura", "Mod", "Blueprint", "Helmet", "Weapon", "Skin", and "Other".

  • EntryName: This is the exact raw name of the entry, what is going to be matched against the data coming from the server. Definitely not the place for typos. Please note that if your reward ends in the word "Blueprint", that should be omitted from the name, as you can see with the Latron Wraith entry.

  • EntryDisplay: This is what is actually shown in the program to the user. It isn't used for matching. Most of the time you won't need to use this, but in the case of the Latron Wraith above, we want to use it so the user knows that it's actually referring to the blueprint.

  • EntryPronunciation: If the user is using text to speech, this will override the name of the item if it is present. This allows you to tweak how the text to speech engine pronounces things. In the case of the Phobos entry in the example, the engine was pronouncing "Pho-boss", so we give it "Pho-bose" to correct.

  • EntryPrefix: Indefinite articles are weird. There are algorithms to detect which to use, but most of them are imperfect, so I just made them configurable. This is the word said prior to your entry. "a Neurode", "an Orokin Cell". In the case of our example, "an Infested Impedance Aura". For planets this is the preposition used, so "on Phobos" versus "in the Void".

  • EntryInterest: This is whether the item is checked, unchecked, or "dot checked" in the program. In most instances, you will not need to worry about this, as the program will add it automatically.

  • TediousTag: This is a hidden setting, that doesn't appear by default and isn't in the examples above. It is gone over in more detail in the guide for configuring tedious missions but the idea is that it allows you to change what is considered tedious for this reward.

Now that you know what all the settings do, you should be able to rather easily add new entries to this list. Just keep an eye on proper JSON formatting.
