Farouk is the youngest (adopted) son of Lord Santa Cruz in Castille, a massive and intimidating outsider, or so they say, those who have never met him. A gentle giant is what those who have crossed his path will tell you. A ruthless swordsman with devastating rages is what his enemies would confess.

Despite being adopted and bearing the name of the Santa Cruz family, he has no pretensions regarding the succession of his father. He prefers to leave this tedious concern to his brothers and sisters.

He has already participated in battles to defend the border, organized and led troops, and is not easily impressed, even by those who possess the Gift.

He knows that the villagers are heretics with a special belief in god but don't care as long as they live a sinless life. Is will to protect the village makes him popular among the covenfolks but his relations with mages, especially the ones treating poorly other members of the covenant, are more tense.
