How to Update Image - ArrowElectronics/arrow-safari GitHub Wiki

For the Safari kit the Meerkat board requires an 8GB microSD card with the necessary software downloaded (flashed) onto it. Here are the instructions for doing this. Note: Each of these steps can take a long time.

1. Obtain 8GB microSD card
2. Go to the code portion of this wiki and download the image 'safari_desktop.img.bz2' to run the Customer or FAE Demos, and 'safari_jupyter.img.bz2' if you are running the Jupyter Notebook demo.
3. Extract image using winzip, 7zip, etc. File name will now be 'safari_desktop.img' or 'safari_jupyter.img'
4. Format microSD card using 'SD Card Formatter' or another program. Note: if the program you are using gives you the option, you can format to 'FAT32'.
5. Using balenaEtcher or similar software transfer image from your PC to the memory card
6. Insert card into Meerkat board
