The Servo Drive Demo Kit is comprised of three (4) components:
- Analog Devices Servo Drive FMC Mezzanine Card
- Critical Link Reconfigurable Motion & Robotics Platform (includes MitySOM-5CSx, and AC/DC 12V@5A Power Supply)
- Moons 24VDC Permanent Magnet Servo Motor (SM0401HE4-KCD-NNV)
- AC-to-DC 24VDC@ 5A power supply for the Motor
Booting from the SD Card requires that the BSEL pins be set tp 101b on the Cyclone-V SoC. This is done via SW1 (BOOT SELECT) where positions 1 and 3 are OFF and 2 is ON. Position 4 is not used and its default is ON.
The CSEL and MSEL pins have been pre-configured for this kit at the factory as shown below:
The Servo Motor has two (2) wire harnesses which are terminated by Phoenix connectors.

- Insert the wide 12-pin connector into J3
- Insert the 4-pin connector into J2
- Insert the 3-pin Motor power connector into J1
4. Insert the Analog Devices Servo Drive FMC Mezzanine Card into FMC1
Align the 2 holes on the Servo Drive board to the 2 mounting studs and pressing the board into the FMC1 connector. Replace the nuts and tighten them.

Connect a micro-USB-B to J3 on the Platform board, and it USB-A end to a PC
Use the supplied AC-DC 12V power supply and plug its barrel connector in J12
Slide Switch S7 in the direction indicated on the PCB to apply power to the kit.
Run the Demonstration
