Please note that PCIe is not currently supported. Please refer to the Notes section for more details.

Upon receipt of a new AXE5-Falcon-ES0 or AXE5-Falcon-ES board

  1. Review the Development Kit Contents list to determine which additional equipment is required to utilize this platform.
  2. Visit the Unboxing page for an initial power on experience.
  3. Visit the Developer Documentation page.
  4. Upgrade the Arrow-Blaster to a USB Blaster III (Quartus 25.1.1 or later required)
  5. Windows only. Install git.
    1. Open a PowerShell.
    2. winget install --id Git.Git -e --source winget
  6. Visit the Command Line Linux - Quick Start Guide page for instructions on booting Linux.
  7. Visit the Command Line Linux - Build Instructions page for instructions on building the Golden Hardware Reference Design (GHRD) and the Linux bootable image.
  8. Download Quartus Prime Pro for Windows or Linux to build the FPGA reference designs. Reference Designs specify which revision is required.
  9. Download a free license for Agilex 5 from the Intel Self Service Licensing Center
