Apache Mesos Master and Slave Configuration on CentOS 7 - ArpithaRao/Mesos-configuration GitHub Wiki
Step 1: Create a new VM in VCloud.
Create a mem (Mesos master) and mes (Mesos slave) server(s) using Image Centos 7.
Also use template Base Image for Centos 7 to create virtual machine in any cloud. Use required puppet master that has been set-up for this puppet agent that is being set up. Before powering on the virtual machine, bump up the CPUs to 8 and memory to 16GB add a disk with 32GB.
And add the csv file a1-dev-memNNN-config.csv for a master node and change the csv name according to the VM name. Also in this config file ensure the zookeeper parameter has the master node ip address. a1-dev-mesNNNf-config.csv for a slave node and change the name according to the VM name. Also in this config file ensure the zookeeper, masterNodeIp parameters has the master node ip address, masterNodeFqdn has master's fully qualified domain name and mesosSlaveAttributes has the required Constraint Label. Verify all other parameters value to ensure the required values are present and/or modify accordingly.
Step 2: Verify the the mesos master and slave nodes using the below URLs:
mesos console: http://hostname:5050/#/ and marathon UI: http://hostname:8080/ui/#/apps
Step 3: Power on the VM and login as root. And run the below command to puppet the node against the environment where the puppet code resides. Puppet the node
puppet agent -t -v --environment=Environment_Name
Step 4: Deploy the docker containers on the mesos-slave node.
Use the below sample json for API and APP deployment respectively on the mesos slave added. docker-memNNN.json Changes the parameters of the json such as constrains, service port, urls according to the requirement.
