A fossil record is the chain of ancestor biomorphs backwards in time from any particular biomorph, back to the biomorph's Adam, a biomorph which was created by saltation or other special creation. Fossil morph view presents a fossil record as a stack of paleontological layers, with the oldest layers at the bottom, to allow the user to review the evolutionary history of a selected biomorph.
