How to Use CyberTalk

This guide shows you how to use CyberTalk to its fullest potential.
Letโ€™s get started!

๐Ÿ  Home Page (Not Logged In)

When you open CyberTalk, you are greeted with the home page.
Youโ€™ll see Log In and Register options on the page and in the top-right corner of the navbar.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Navbar Layout

There are four types of navbars:

  • Logged Out
  • Logged In
  • Moderator
  • Admin

๐Ÿ”“ Logged Out

  1. Register: Create a new CyberTalk account.
  2. Log In: Access your CyberTalk account.
  3. Logo: Click to return to the home page.

๐Ÿ”‘ Logged In

  1. Logo: Return to the home page.
  2. Generate: Create a code to start a Group Chat.
  3. Join: Enter a group chat using a code.
  4. Username: Your display name.
  5. Log Out: Sign out of CyberTalk.
  6. Settings: Access your account settings.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Moderator

  • Moderator Panel: Manage who can chat and give timeouts to users.

๐Ÿ‘‘ Admin

  1. Admin Panel: Manage users, delete accounts, and download site data.
  2. Moderator Tools: Same as moderator functionality.

๐Ÿ“ Register

Create your account with a username and password.
Thatโ€™s it โ€” youโ€™re ready to go!

๐Ÿ” Log In

Log in using your credentials.
Donโ€™t have an account? Register above!

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Generate Group Chat

  1. Go to the Generate page.
  2. Press Generate Key to get a unique code.
  3. Share this code to invite others!

๐Ÿšช Join Group

  1. Click Join Chat.
  2. Enter the group key (generated or received from a friend).
  3. Press Join Chat to enter the group.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Chat Room

  1. Group Code: Displayed at the top for sharing.
  2. Messages: Main chat area.
  3. Input Box: Type your message here.
  4. Send: Press Enter or click the button.
  5. Plus (+) Button: Upload and send images.

โš™๏ธ Settings

Settings let you personalize your CyberTalk experience.
Your username and profile picture are always visible on the sidebar.

๐Ÿ‘ค Account

  • Change your password.
  • Update your profile picture.

๐ŸŽจ Appearance

  • Choose between Light, Dark, and Yellow modes.

๐Ÿ”” Notifications

  • Enable or disable notifications.

๐Ÿ”’ Security

  • Panic Mode: Press END on your keyboard to instantly redirect to your chosen URL.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Delete Account

  • Delete your account.
    Note: This wonโ€™t remove your messages in group chats.

๐Ÿšช Log Out

  • Press the Log Out button to sign out.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Moderator Panel

  • Give timeouts to users to temporarily prevent them from chatting.
  • Note: Most users wonโ€™t see this option in the navbar.
