Cohortem design choices

My current plan is to separate a Cohortem performance into two parts:

• Conductor
• Artist

Conductor

Controls a performance's flow. Tries to make artists play in a certain way. For example, faster, softer, louder, with more passion, etc. It also gives artists some rules to follow when they play and pick their notes to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Artist

Artist are in charge of specific instruments and their constraints along with which specific notes they play. For example, an artist that represents a left hand on a piano might at most only be able to play notes within a 13 note spread (big hands) at any given time and at most 5 notes at once (5 fingers). To generate partitions that are easier to play, it's only a matter of creating artists that have more constraints on them.
