Architecture

The system is made of 4 parts:

• iOS client. Application that receives and outputs audio. It advertises the client via Bonjour protocol, and can send connect/disconnect messages to server.

• Bonjour server. This is a simple python script that works with pybonjour and monitors local network for new iOS clients. It communicates with Pd patch via OSC protocol, and connects/disconnects available clients when needed.

• Pd patch. This patch streams sound input either from Pd objects, audio files, or external input routed via jack or Soundflower.

• iBeacons. Additionally, you can use iBeacons to mark arbitrary anticipated locations of loudspakers.
