After the train ride into Arkham you are quite tired. But you came here for a reason, so you steel yourself and leave your comfortable seat behind. The train station itself is dingy but serviceable and as you step off the platform in Northside you notice an alley with several shops lining the dark walls. Intrigued you enter the alley, perhaps you'll find what you're looking for here. You inspect the signs and look in the windows.
The first store you come across is named the Cyoa Bookstore. You stare at the sign trying to figure out what Cyoa means. After a few moments of confusion you decide that Cyoa must be Latin for something. Peering in the window you see beautifully illustrated books lined up. Some you recognize, but some you do not. Perhaps you should inquire within about them
At the end of the alley there appears to be a Toystore with a brick façade and what appears to be small interlocking pieces made to look like the people of Arkham. How very odd. The toys appear to be of foreign make and in addition to the small figures there's a wooden duck.
As you continue moving down the alley you notice a quite small Artstore. Their lights are out and there's a sign in the window that says "Going out of Business sale" apparently the artist, Richard Upton Pickman, hasn't been seen for months and people are eager to get rid of the remainder of his work.
Next there's a Lawyer's Office. The sign on the door says Newman, Zwirn, and French Attorneys at Law. They have tiny leaflets in the size of player cards that seem to explain the rules to some inane game.
One of the shops on the row has a charming collection of maps of various exotic locations. Larger than what you had in your travel guide. But still portable enough to fit in your pack along with your supplies. Speaking of which, there's a small room in back advertising everythign you might need to go on an expedition to the Jungle.
