The NMEA object manages the overall NMEA protocol. It accepts strings, creates the appropriate NMEASentence, and allows access to the correct sentences.

NMEA() The constructor initializes the NMEA object.

data(String sentence)
Pass a data string (NMEA sentence) into the NMEA object.

NMEASentence The NMEASentence object parses the strings and provides getters to access the data.

NMEASentence(String sentence)
The constructor accepts a valid NMEA sentence as a string. It then parses the string.

getRawSentence()
Returns the raw sentence that was provided during creation.

getWord(int i)
Returns the nth word of the sentence. This does not include the identifier or checksum. The index starts at 0.

numwords()
Returns the number of words in the sentence. This does not include the indentifier or checksum.

getIdentifier()
Returns the 5 code identifier. The code is returned with the - symbols if it is less than 5 characters.
