This content applies to version 2.5.0 and newer versions of the Tracker.

The main configuration file is tracker.json. A sample config file is provided as tracker.default.cfg. The only properties that you must change before running the Tracker are postgresURL and redisURL. The file has the following structure:

  • website.enable: boolean - Whether to serve web pages and API requests Default: true
  • website.serveStaticFiles: boolean - Whether to serve static files (set to false if you wish to serve from the assets directory with a different server). Default: true
  • website.validateAPISchema: boolean - Whether to validate outgoing API v2 using a schema. Set to false for better performance. Default: true
  • website.serverPort: number - Port on which to run the HTTP server. Default: 80
  • website.teamBalanceServerPort: number - Port on which to run the team balance server (see src/api/v1/players.js for more info). Default: 36581
  • tracker.enable: boolean - Whether to enable the Tracker for pinging servers. Default: true
  • tracker.baseElo: number - Elo for new players. Default: 1200
  • tracker.pingInterval: number - How often, in seconds, to ping all servers. Default: 10
  • tracker.extInfoPingInterval: number - How often, in seconds, to ping servers with players. Default: 5
  • tracker.endGamePingInterval: number - How often, in seconds, to ping servers nearing intermission. Default: 2
  • tracker.savePlayersInterval: number - How often, in seconds, to flush player stats from memory. Default: 600
  • master.enable: boolean - Whether to update the server list from the master server. Default: true
  • master.updateInterval: number - How often to update the server list. Default: 600
  • master.name: string - Master server host name. Default: sauerbraten.org
  • master.port: number - Master server port. Default: 28787
  • irc.enable: boolean - Whether to enable the IRC bot. Default: false
  • irc.server: string - Host name of IRC server to use. Default: irc.gamesurge.net
  • irc.port: number - Port of IRC server. Default: 6667
  • irc.nick: string - Nickname for the bot. Default: MyTracker
  • irc.chan: string - IRC channel to connect to. Default: #mychannel
  • irc.prefix: string - Prefix to listen to for commands. Default: .
  • postgresURL: string - URL to the PostgreSQL server instance. Should be of the form postgres://user:password@server/database.
  • redisURL: string - URL to the Redis server instance. Should be of the form redis://user:password@server.
