Ordering goods from the warehouse

We expect that warehouse state is updated with requests information so it is impossible to request amount more than there is already in warehouse minus amount still in warehouse but already requested.

Steps marked in bold should be executed as separate tests!

  • Restaurant manager should be able to order goods with the POS system from the warehouse.

Input that is used for the test to verify the functionality

  • Restaurant manager account.
  • Different warehouse state models.

Steps performed during the verification process

Typical warehouse order:

  1. Log in as restaurant manager.
  2. Open warehouse request section.
  3. Select a product to order.
  4. Input correct amount to order.
  5. Confirm the order.
  6. Check if warehouse request is added successfully to database.

Order amount is not correct:

  1. Log in as restaurant manager.
  2. Open warehouse request section.
  3. Select a product to order.
  4. Input incorrect amount to order (0 / not an integer).
  5. Confirm the order.
  6. Check if appropriate input error notification is brought up.
  7. Check if warehouse request process is still running.

Order amount is bigger than amount available:

  1. Log in as restaurant manager.
  2. Open warehouse request section.
  3. Select a product to order.
  4. Input amount that is bigger than amount available.
  5. Confirm the order.
  6. Check if appropriate amount error notification is brought up.
  7. Check if warehouse request process is still running.

Cancelling warehouse request procedure:

  1. Log in as restaurant manager.
  2. Open warehouse request section.
  3. Select a product to order.
  4. Cancel warehouse request
  5. Check if warehouse request is not added to database.

Expected results

  • Restaurant manager can submit a warehouse request for any amount of product less than or equal to the amount in the warehouse. Request is submitted successfully to the database.
  • The system brings up an input error notification if requested amount is 0 or not an integer.
  • The system brings up an amount error notification if requested amount is bigger than amount in the warehouse.
  • It is possible to cancel warehouse request procedure before the request is submitted.
