- Create your free account Applitools https://applitools.com/users/register Install Applitools plugin for Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/applitools-for-selenium-i/fbnkflkahhlmhdgkddaafgnnokifobik Short description here https://applitools.com/tutorials/selenium-ide.html#getting-started
Create first test
- Run the Selenium IDE -> Record a new test in a new project (follow the instructions)
- Do what we want to check (for example these steps)
- walabot.com/diy - Click on the "get it now" button
- store.walabot.com - Click on "add to cart" button
- Click on the "Proceed to checkout"
- Click on the icon Applitools on the dashboard and select "Check Window" (takes a screenshot of the whole window)
- Stop recording Selenium. This creates one test case. We can do one more. Combine them into one suite.
- Run the test that you created before.
- After passing the test, your Applitools account page will open where we will see the result of passing the test. It will help to understand: https://applitools.com/docs/topics/test-manager/pages/tm-page-test-results.html If we do not have a baseline for comparison, then the first test result will be passed positively and will serve as the baseline for comparison. All mismatches will be highlighted in red in a translucent color.
