Solution - AnJuHyppolite/Capstone-Givn GitHub Wiki

Solution: Givn App aims to reduce food waste, electronic waste, and textile waste by allowing users to post items they want to give away instead of throwing them away. The app also allows users to find items they are interested in by browsing our page or search by categories. The givers will have an opportunity to edit and delete their posts. Recipients will have the option to write a comment or feedback about the item they receive.

Givn App will allow both users (givers and recipients) to communicate via a chat feature. We will add an auto message to remind users to exercise COVID compliance when meeting to exchange goods. In addition, when users exchange an item, we will provide educational facts about how their transaction helps save the planet.

What sets Givn App apart from competitors like trash nothing!, Craigslist, Listia, and Facebook Marketplace, is that while our app helps users get rid of their stuff and aid in preserving the planet, it also provides education about the benefits of waste minimization.
